Science Museum war memorial

Inscription

{The design shows two layers, each representing a war, with "19" serving as a link between the two sets of dates "14-18" and "39-45". A single small cross is cut through both layers at the top. 2 names are given on the WW1 layer and 8 names on the WW2 layer.  See Subjects Commemorated for the names.

At the bottom of the plaque:}
In memory of the staff of this Science Museum who gave their lives in the two World Wars.

This plaque is made of a single piece of cast iron.

SW7, Exhibition Road

Sorry about the poor quality photo. We just don't seem to be geared up for inside photos, but at least it shows where the plaque is, should you want to visit. The steps you can see lead up to the entrance in Exhibition Road.
