Alice Zimmern

Pioneering advocate for women's education and suffrage. Born Nottingham. Studied at Bedford College, and then Girton College, Cambridge.  Taught classics for income and wrote influentially on women's education and suffrage. Unmarried, died at home, 45 Clevedon Mansions, where the plaque is. Girton have an annual prize in her name.
