Anne Seymour Damer

Anne Seymour Damer (née Conway) was a sculptor, author, traveller, theatrical producer and actress. Honorary exhibitor at the Royal Academy 1784-1818. Divorced after 7 years of marriage, 2 years later her husband John Damer committed suicide. She was thought to be a lesbian and there were no children. Close friends with her godfather Horace Walpole, who left her a life interest in Strawberry Hill, and Charles James Fox; corresponded with Josephine Buonaparte.

Born Sevenoaks; died at her London house, 27 Upper Brook Street.
