Carabiniers

Former cavalry regiment, officially the Sixth Dragoon Guards. They participated in putting down the rebellion of Bonnie Prince Charlie in 1745-46 and fought in the Peninsular, Crimean and Boer Wars and World War I. In 1922 they were amalgamated with the 3rd Dragoon Guards (Prince of Wales), and were designated the 3rd/6th Dragoon Guards.
