Odd that the monument does not use the name "Crocketts" but all the sources give that name for the Leather Cloth factory on this site. More information at .

The  (held in South Kensington) shows samples of the leather cloth and gives: “Leather-Cloth Company (Limited), 56 Cannon Street, West, London … the sole Manufacturers of Crockett’s Leather-Cloth. Patent printed and gilded Leather-Cloth. Embossed Leather-Cloth”.

Cannon Street being the customer-facing address for the company that produced its products in E15.
