Dylan Thomas

Poet. Born at 5 Cwmdonkin Drive, Swansea, which is now a themed holiday rental. Died at St Vincents Hospital, in New York City during a lecture tour of the United States. He is buried at Laugharne, Wales. This had been his home with his wife Caitlin, whom he had met in 1936/7, at the Wheatsheaf pub in Newman Street, W1 (no plaque). Caitlin Macnamara had previously been in an abusive relationship with Augustus John.

2019: visited Thomas's London drinking haunts - there are quite a lot of them.
