Emmeline Budd

Emmerline Budd was born on 11 August 1816 the youngest of the six children of Henry Budd (1787-1862) and Charlotte Budd née Swain (1787-1848). She was baptised on 15 May 1817 at the Bridwell Chapel in the City of London by the Reverend Henry Budd. The parish register not only gives her date of birth but also shows the family were living at Chatham Place and that her father's rank or profession was recorded as a Gentleman.

The 1841 census shows that she was living at Marine Parade, Brighthelmstone, Kemptown, Sussex, (now called Brighton), with her parents, an elder brother Edward Budd (1812-1890), her elder sister Charlotte Budd (1808-1854) and two female servants.

She died, aged 34 years, on 18 April 1851 at home in 35 Russell Square. London and was buried on 1 May 1851 at St Matthew's Church, Brixton.
