Hymn writer (e.g. wrote the words for the carol "Ding dong merrily on high"). Born: Birkenhead, Cheshire. Died: Highgate. Buried: Little Walsingham, Norfolk, where he had been a vicar. He retired first to Bloomsbury and then to Highgate in 1916.
