Gyles Brandreth

Writer, broadcaster and former M.P. Born Gyles Daubeney Brandreth in Germany where his father was serving as a legal officer with the Allied Control Commission. Famous for his over the top knitwear. He was M.P. for Chester from 1992 to 1997. His writing has focused on words and puzzles and he also wrote an authorised biography of Sir John Gielgud.
