Harold Bride

Born Harold Sidney Bride in Nunhead. He was trained by the Marconi Wireless Company and joined the RMS Titanic as junior wireless operator. After the ship's collision, he remained at his post until the power was cut off. He survived by standing on the overturned collapsible boat B and was rescued by the RMS Carpathia. He later served as wireless operator on several other ships, before eventually becoming a salesman.
