Haroon Shamsher

Musician. Born in Bradford. His father was a Bangladeshi immigrant who ran a traditional tape shop in London’s East End. Haroon and his younger brother Farook, started the Joi Bangla Sound System in the mid-eighties, playing local youth clubs around the Brick Lane area of London. Died of a suspected heart attack after going to hospital for a check-up.
