Harrow Green School

This lovely photo comes from a dedicated to old photos of London where it is captioned "Harrow Green School, Leytonstone, 1897".

Opened in 1877 the school was enlarged twice by 1882, thus increasing its capacity from 565 to 1,200. It was condemned in 1929 and in 1932 remodelled as an infants school. Closed in 1935.
