Jahncke Ltd

From : "Tin box manufactures of Canonbury Works, Dorset Street, Islington {later renamed Dove Street}. Founded in 1873 by Ernest Jahncke and incorporated in 1893. Bryant and May acquired an interest in 1895, Jahncke boxes being used for their wax vestas. A separate French company was formed in 1920 under the name of Établissements Jahncke which purchased a factory in Rue Levert, Paris .... Jahncke Ltd was liquidated in 1963."

We believe the pictured John Walsh box is an example of Jahncke's products.
