James Bubb

Sculptor. Born as James George Bubb, probably near Strand. Surviving London works: Monument to Pitt the Younger in the Guildhall, pediment of Cumberland Terrace in Regent’s Park and other work there done for John Nash.

The : describing his "impoverished circumstances" says: ".. he had a wife and two children to support. A later note said that his wife had eloped with a young man who had been living with him as a pupil."

In the absence of any sort of portrait we've used the Pitt monument as our image for Bubb.
