Joseph Lister

Born in Upton, Essex. Died in Walmer, Kent. Pioneer in the use of antiseptics in surgery. The medical historian, Ruth Richardson, has an interesting piece in reporting on how Agnes his wife, was his co-worker in some of his research. And the on an interesting operation by Lister that Ruth discovered.
