Lewis Cubitt

Categories: Architecture

Lewis Cubitt

Architect. Younger brother of Thomas. Designed King's Cross station, the Great Northern Hotel and the granary building just to the north in the King’s Cross railway lands, all now restored. The granary building has become part of the University of the Arts (with a fun be-fountained square in front).

We find this picture of Cubitt very disconcerting - the face seems to be floating free of the body.
