Louise Simson

London-based sculptor. When she won the competition to make the Alleyn statue the provided a short biography. Born London. 1986-90 worked in film, television and theatre. “... her continuing passion in her sculptures is the portrayal of movement.”

In 2011 the  reported that "For most of a decade, the Wimbledon men’s champions and runners-up have received large bronze sculptures created from pictures taken of them in action during their finals."  At the time Simson was living and working in Peckham.
