Norma Elaine Williamson

Norma Elaine Williamson came to London from Jamaica as a young girl and lived, initially with her mother, in Stockwell, her home for the rest of her life. She had a variety of careers, the final one being in the health service which ended when she retired as Director of Human Resources at The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). She was also treasurer of the Brixton Society for 16 years and did other voluntary work, with Age UK and others.

Our colleague, Andrew Behan, reports that electoral registers from 2003 show her listed at 40 Hubert Grove, London, SW9 9PD and that when her death was registered it was recorded that she died, aged 67 years, on 16 June 2015.

The shows four of the organisations with which she was associated and records her birth as September 1947. Another shows a further organisation with whom she was involved.

She is shown as 'NORMA WILLIAMSON' on the memorial plaque attached to the planter inside the external railings of the Tate Library, Rushcroft Road, London, SW9.
