Princess (Helena) Christian

Born Princess Helena, daughter of Queen Victoria. Married Prince (Frederick) Christian of Schleswig-Holstein in 1866. Their eldest child was the first member of the royal family to attend school rather than be educated at home. She devoted much time and effort to charitable causes. Died at Schomberg House, Pall Mall, her home since her mother's death.
