R. W. Paul

Robert William Paul was a cinema pioneer, inventor, manufacturer, producer, exhibitor and cinematographer, based in Muswell Hill where he designed and constructed Britain's first film studio.

Born 3 Albion Road (now Furlong Road), Holloway. The building has been much messed about and looks more like a warehouse/factory than a home, extending, apparently, across the whole block. See this . Died at The Priory, Roehampton. have an interesting post.

In 2019 The reported on planning approval for an unusual memorial on the corner of Sydney Road and Colney Hatch Lane, Muswell Hill, but the project seems not to have progressed.
