Reverend St John Groser

Priest and social reformer.  Born Australia to parents who were there as missionaries.  Educated in England.  Vicar of Christ Church, Watney Street from 1929-48.  Held left-wing views that he acted upon to the extent of suffering a broken nose at the Battle of Cable Street.  1948 he became warden, and later master, of the Royal Foundation of St Katharine, Died at Oxford.
