Quiney wrote the famous letter to William Shakespeare dated the 25th October 1598 from the Bell Inn, Carter Lane. According to Wikipedia there were three generations of Richard Quineys, the middle one of which was the brother of Thomas who married Shakespeare's daughter, Judith. We believe the letter writer was these brothers' father.
