Deputy of the ward of the parish of St Mary the Virgin Aldermanbury. The has some details on Sir Robert since he once lived at Laurel House near Bexley, Kent. He was Chairman of R. H. & S. Rogers Ltd, a firm of shirtmakers which later traded under the name Rocola, founded by his father Thomas. Robert erected the fountain to celebrate his election as Deputy Alderman.
