Robert Polhill Bevan

Painter, born Hove. Founding member of the Camden Town Group, the London Group, and the Cumberland Market Group. Married Polish painter StanisÅ‚awa de KarÅ‚owska and thereafter spent many summers there. Died St Thomas's Home, Lambeth, following an operation. The picture is a self-portrait c.1914.
