Sardar Patel

Sardar Vallabhbhai Javerbhai Patel, commonly known as Sardar Patel, Indian statesman. First Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister of India 1947-50.

Born and raised in India. At the age of 36, he came to London and enrolled at the Middle Temple Inn. Completing a 36-month course in 30 months, Patel finished at the top of his class despite having had no previous college background.

He is the subject of the world's tallest statue (), erected in 2018 in Indian. At approximately 182 metres that's almost as high as a 40 storey building, such as the Gherkin - we're just grateful it's not in London.
