Shirley Anne Field

Actor. Born Shirley Broomfield on 27 June 1936 in Forest Gate, Essex (now Greater London). She started her career as a glamour model. Laurence Olivier chose her to play the prime female role in the film 'The Entertainer' and she also appeared as Albert Finney's girlfriend in 'Saturday Night and Sunday Morning'. When her film career started to wane, she moved on to stage and television roles.

Her and her confirms that she died, aged 87 years, on 10 December 2023.
