Shoreditch Triangle

What is the "Shoreditch Triangle"? Well, there's a Shoreditch Christmas triangle - an area comprising shops, studios etc in the Shoreditch area; the Shoreditch Design triangle - founded in 2008 to promote local designers and companies.

Neither of these seemed relevant to the TfL pavement plaque. But then we found a reference to: "Duxbury, E and Desyllas, J. (2001) Shoreditch Triangle Pedestrian Movement and Safety Report Intelligent Space Partnership, London" and a , with some schematic maps. These maps make it clear that the plaque's "Shoreditch Triangle" is the intersection of Old Street Great Eastern Road and Paul Street.
