Sir Ernest Lamb

Politician. He was elected to the common council of the City of London, later becoming a deputy alderman and lieutenant of the City. He was elected to parliament for Rochester in 1906, losing the seat in the January 1910 general election, but regaining it in the election in December of the same year. Created Baron Rochester in 1931.
