A married couple, both born in 1884, they lived at Hindle House, Arcola Street, Hackney and were killed there when a high explosive bomb was dropped on the building. Both buried at East London Cemetery, Plaistow, London. And both remembered on the 'Hackney Air Raid Casualties 1939-45' memorial at East London Cemetery.
