T. & J. Bernard

Brothers Thomas and James Bernard opened the New Edinburgh Brewery in Edinburgh in 1888. The firm used a St. Bernard dog as its mascot and logo, but with a bottle of their beer around its neck replacing the traditional flask of brandy. It was bought by Scottish Brewers in 1960.
