The White House, Mitcham

Building

The describes the house as "C18 with exterior of 1826." That 1826 modernising was carried out by Dr. A. C. Bartley

s quotes a now-dead Merton Borough page as "… became the residence of Lady Worsfold on the death of her husband Sir Cato Worsfold MP in 1936; still remembered for her dedication to local affairs and in particular her wartime work with the WVS and Girl Guide movement."

Seems that if you were connected to this house you had to write a history of Mitcham; the doctor's daughter did (see his page) and so did Sir Thomas Cato Worsfold (1861-1936) "".
