Walter Macqueen-Pope

Theatre manager and historian. Born Walter James Macqueen-Pope in Farnham, Surrey. He was business manager at many London theatres including the Queens, the Duke of York's and the London Palladium. During World War II he worked as public relations officer for the Entertainments National Service Association (ENSA). As an historian he published many works about London theatres, pantomime and music-hall. Died in St George's Hospital, Westminster
