May 2015 : "PUNE: The Maharashtra government will complete the process to buy the house in London where B R Ambedkar lived in the 1920s by May-end and plans to convert it into a memorial-cum-museum." Following some basic renovation this opened on 14 November 2015 but the plan is to close soon to enable more fundemental works.

March 2020: reports "The UK government has accepted India''s appeal against the closure of Ambedkar House in north London and said the memorial to the architect of the Indian Constitution will remain open to visitors."
