This stone marks the visit of their Royal Highnesses the Prince of Wales & the Duchess of Cornwall to commemorate the centenary of the opening of Australia House by His Majesty King George V on the 3 August 1918.

The plaques are just inside the entrance to the building.

Although the foundation stone was laid in 1913, WW1 got in the way, and the building wasn't opened until August 1918.
