Bust

Benito Juarez

Inscription

{On the base of the bust:}
1806  Benito Juarez  1872

remarks that Benito Juárez is notable for the number of statues and monuments in his honour outside of Mexico. But we can find no reference anywhere to this one. It looks to us to be a copy of the one that claim is in Ensenada, coastal city in Baja California, Mexico, but we can find no information about that one. We give up.

This building is not the Mexican Embassy (that's in W1) but it's an off-shoot, dealing with Military, Naval and Commercial Affairs.
