Plaque

Benjamin Waugh - SE10

Erection date: 1984

Inscription

Benjamin Waugh, 1839 - 1908, founder of the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, lived here.
Greater London Council

Site: Benjamin Waugh - SE10 (1 memorial)

SE10, Croom's Hill, 26

English Heritage has acknowledged that the plaque was erected on the wrong house, and should be where Waugh actually lived, on what is now 62 Croom’s Hill, immediately south of May's Court. Numeric dyslexia?
