Site: Broad Street Station War Memorial (1 memorial)

E8, Geffrye Street, Hoxton Station

This was originally brought to our attention over a year ago by London Reconnections and they have just posted a .

This memorial lurked unloved in a corner of the Richmond Station car park for many years. It started its life in 1921 at Broad Street Station, where Betjeman described it as "a miniature version of the Cenotaph". It was erected here in Hoxton, with a rededication ceremony in summer 2010. Hoxton sits on the old lines that used to run into Broad Street station, so is certainly a more appropriate location than Richmond.
