Plaque

Caribbean carnival - Britain's first

Erection date: 26/6/2025

Inscription

Britain's first Caribbean Carnival was held in this building, Friday 30th January 1959.
London Borough of Camden

This plaque is noticeably larger than the standard plaque and we can see no reason, unlike the huge plaque for the Notting Hill Carnival pioneers which has good cause.

Although this plaque does not refer to the Notting Hill Carnival we've given it as a Commemorated subject because it is there, by implication.
