This drinking fountain was erected to the memory of Mr. W.H. Hall. supt. of these schools 1888 - 1900 by the members of the staff (past and present) of the institution January 1901.

The (non-working) water fountain is located in a small garden next to the Hanwell Community Centre.

2019: This building is on Historic England's register of : "The administration block of the former London District Schools, built in 1856 is a beautiful Grade II listed building. The Local Authority carried out major repairs in 2010 and the building is now in good condition, but it's still on the risk register."
