Inscription
Charles Dickens, 1812 -1870, novelist, lived here in boyhood.
{On the lower plaque:}
Tablet from 29 Johnson Street, Somers Town, the Dickens family home from 1824 to 1829. The tablet was erected by the London County Council in 1911. The house was demolished in 1932.
Johnson Street is now Cranleigh Street, where there is a plaque for Dickens.

All these memorials are in the back garden of the museum which is a tight space and, much as we'd like to, it's impossible to provide a photo with all four items in shot.
