Councillor's Walk

Inscription

Councillor's Walk
These trees are planted in memory of men and women who served the London Borough of Haringey as Councillors since 1965 and have died.

We've transcribed this inscription correctly and, being the pedants that we are, we have to query the position of the apostrophe. This is an unusual, but dull, memorial. 1965 is the year that Haringey Council came into being. But the plaque explains so little. Why? When? Why here? How many? The committee that caused this plaque to be installed can't have spent any time on it. So we won't either.
