David Bowie tiles

Inscription

Its not the politicans who will end oppression, its the radicals, with the stink in their clothes, rebellion in their brain, hope in their heart and direct action in their hearts.
David Bowie, 1947 - 2016

Police Department Rochester NY, 59640, 3 25 76

We could find no source for the Bowie quote but many websites give it, though normally with correct spelling and punctuation and with "... action in their fists." rather than "... action in their hearts".

In March 1976 in a downtown Rochester hotel after performing at the Community War Memorial. He and three others were charged with marijuana possession. In May the charges were effectively dropped.
