This garden is named after Emma Cons, 1838 - 1912.
This was brought to our attention by Andrew Race. The photograph is from the last scene in the 1964 film 'Ring of Spies'. The gardens still exist, but there is no sign of the plaque, which was probably erected in or soon after 1958 when the garden was created.
