Henriette Raphael gave her name to the first purpose-built nurses' home at Guy's Hospital which opened in 1902 & was funded by donations from her husband, Henry Raphael & her sons Walter & Herbert. The home was the first of its kind in London.

Can we guess what 'building products' Ibstock contributed, and how many? Difficult.
This reminds us of that scene at the end of Planet of the Apes.
Unusually this memorial was erected before the end of the war. There may be more but the only other one we know of is at St Botolphs.
Most of the text is professionally carved but 'Davey' is less skillful. Something about this memorial makes us think that Davey was a pet.
