Historic House - London Borough of Islington

Site: Fenner Brockway (1 memorial)

EC1, Myddelton Square, 60

Our picture shows the plaque before erection with Christopher Elsom, Pitch and Mouser. In 1975 they lived in no 60. Christopher writes: No. 60 was initially a single home but at some stage was converted by New River Company into lateral flats with the house next door. Fenner Brockway was a tad confused when he visited. Also living in the house at the time was Matt Zimmerman, better known as Tracy in Thunderbirds. Brockway lived here in a commune back in Fabian times. We went to a do in the Mayors parlour at Islington town hall, met Fenner and he came round to our place and pulled the curtain off the plaque. Thank you Christopher.
