Site: Frederic David Mocatta fountain (1 memorial)

EC3, Aldgate High Street, St Botolph's Aldgate

This monument is beautifully weathered. ÌýSomeone soon will probably decide it needs to be 'restored' and they will 'conserve' all its character away.

Note the blue police phone box nearby. ÌýThe has found some good history of these items, introduced when telephony was new and the emergency services saw how useful it could be.
