This plaque celebrates the restoration of the Avenue Gardens between 1993 & 1996. These gardens were designed by William Andrews Nesfield, 1794 - 1881 & created between 1863 & 1865.

The people in the picture standing on the plaque are doing the obligatory circular walk to read the inscription.
