Site: General Wolfe statue (1 memorial)

SE10, Greenwich Park

A makes it clear that the event was used, not only to express the friendship between Canada and Britain, but also between both of those countries and France.

The pockmarks on the plinth are surely WW2 damage, either caused by bombs, or a plane strafing the ground aiming at anti-aircraft batteries set up in the park.
