George Croydon Marks, Baron Marks of Woolwich, 1858 - 1938, worked and trained at Royal Arsenal Woolwich, 1872 - 1878. Entrepreneur, engineer, patent agent, social activist and politician.

The plaque is in the dimly lit museum of Greenwich Heritage Centre.
