1753 Founded. 1933 Rebuilt.

Site: Glyn, Mills & Co. (1 memorial)

EC3, Lombard Street, 68-70

We took the photo of the window with the inscription in 2011, in a rush. We noted its location and planned to return to take proper photos later. Over the last few years we have been hunting for this scene and have come to the conclusion that it no longer exists, or rather the building has been significantly remodelled. Our other photo shows that the fenestration has been retained/replicated in some of the windows, but the current pillared door-surround does not appear in our 2011 photo.

From 's page about Glyn, Mills & Co: Founded in 1753 and "A prestigious new head office building in Lombard Street was completed in 1933." This confirms that we pinned our photo correctly (we were beginning to wonder).
